Viewing the poster for the film we see a girl standing in front of a cross filled with five of the other main characters of the movie. With the title centered, the poster is pretty limiting in what it offers as far as plot description. One could say that the cross implies a religious demonic attribute. All the names of the stars are lined atop. The trailer on the other hand gives us a much better view of the true horrific nature of this film. Quick editing with an interesting plot line involving a girl selling her soul to the devil, as well as suspenseful scenes, attracted our eyes and interests in viewing this film. We agreed the posters simplicity would not have brought us to go out and view the flick. Both the trailer and the poster have very dark themes and this is an attractive quality to horror film enthusiasts.
The official site for the movies is http://www.thehauntingofmollyhartley.com/. This sight is very spooky: creepy music playing in the background, dark, smoky. It is very interactive, with various animations and movies, and good graphics. The website is easy to navigate. It begins with a clip of the trailer. Then the viewer can read a detailed synopsis of the movie, check out the cast and information on them, look at the photo gallery, read what the press has had to say, download things such as wallpaper and screensavers, and even buy tickets to the movie. The website definitely conveys the overall ambiance of the movie and promotes the cast of young upcoming actors and actresses to a younger audience.
Since The Haunting of Molly Hartley hasn't actually come out yet, there aren't very many additional sites on it. MTV has a page on its website that features a trailer for the movie and place where people can comment it. It also has a place where people can rate the trailer, giving it a thumbs up or thumbs down. Comingsoon.net also has a page where people can watch the trailer and leave comments. But so far, no real fan sites have been created.
Unfortunately we were not able to find any pirated of the movie, but found many websites that did have movies available for watching that have recently have come out in theatres. Www.surfthechannel.net provides different television show that you are able to review and comment on. Www.watch-movies.net provides numerous amounts of movies to choose from; ranging from new to old, western to comedy, etc. With this website one is able to vote on the movie whether the quality is good or not and a user is able to view with percentage and a thumbs up thumbs down if the movie is worth your time. Other sites that we found that were we able to view illegal movies were www.watchtvsitcoms.com and www.bittorrent.net.

I am a huge fan of horror movies and I had heard something about this movie but nothing huge. The movie looks very interesting to me and I think I would go and see this movie, maybe not in theatres but possibly at my own apartment in the dark with my dog.
From the beginning scenes of the trailer, I was very interested to see the movie. However, towards the ending of it, I was undecided about whether I should see the movie in theaters. Its kinda like that decission we all make; it is worth the movie ticket of $7.50, or just wait to see it for free online. What made me question the movie, was the fact that there were no actors that I was familiar with or the writers themselves. It looks intriguing with the fact that there was a line where a woman says "Your parents chose for you." I know many people who only believe certain things because that is what there parents taught them and are not open to new ideas or options. After viewing the site, I think I will just wait to watch it on my computer. It looks like it can be promising, but I don't want to spend that much for this movie.
I am a complete horror movie guru, and lately I have been quite disapointed in the attempts of a "scary movie" with things like Saw V and Quarantine out, it makes classic horror movie lovers just sigh because movies like those lack that certain eerie feeling a good horror gives you. I had never even heard of this movie, but when I watched the trailer I was automatically interested in going to see it. I was already gasping and guessing the outcome of the movie just by watching the trailer. I would definitely go see this in theaters while happily eating my pickle and popcorn, or at home w/my Ramen Noodle soup, my Pepsi and the lights off. Either way, I guarantee I will watch this movie just to see if it will be up to par to my definition of a true "scary" movie.
I also love horror flicks, but this one does not seem to promising. The trailer seems kind of cheesy too. I would not pay full price at the theater, but will probably buy a burnt copy from a friend. (not as good quality, but probably only worth the five bucks.) It kind of reminds me of the Grudge movies.
