2. Slacker.com is a fairly easy sight to navigate. Once you log on, all you need to do is pick a radio station from one of the 18 genres given or type an artists name into the search box, then hit play. The user is able to review a list of the artists that are played on that station & read about them, but as an unpaid member you are not able to see the specific songs until they are played.

3. On Slacker.com, each of the 18 genres has anywhere from one to 16 stations to choose from. Although the site does not allow the user to choose the individual songs he or she wants to listen to, you can skips songs in the rotation as they are played. An unpaid member can skip up to six songs per hour, per station; a Premium Radio subscriber is able to choose the songs they want to listen to at anytime by saving them to their account. If you choose to type in an artist name, the site will play popular songs by that artists and other artist similar to them.

4. One way the website makes money is through their premium radio service. You can save your favorite songs on the radio. They also sell merchandise, mp3s, and the site has some advertisements throughout.

5. Some genres available that I’ve never heard of are acid jazz, outlaw country and chill (a type of electronica/dance). This site does have stations based on particular artists, and play the best music of that artist, and the best music of similar artists.

6. A unique thing about the site is how amazingly easy it is to find and pick a specific genre you like and how everything is easy to find and really organized. I think its best feature is the fact that you look for a station based on a particular artist, and a picture of the artist and a short bio comes up too, so you’re able to see pictures and learn things about a whole of plethora of artists you previously knew nothing about.

I really like this site, its a really diverse website with all different types of music. I had never heard of this site but now that I've visited the site I'll probably get an account here. The good thing I liked about this site was that anyones able to just type in an artists name and get many songs by that artist or band.

Slacker.com is truly an amazing radio station; they have plenty of genre tabs to pick from with thousands of artists. The thing I liked the most is the preview window that shows you which artist are found in each radio station; which makes it easy for listeners to pick a desired genre station. Another great thing about this site is that you could edit your playlist and send it to a portable device such as your mp3 player or mobile device.

I am a very big Pandora fan, but I really enjoyed slacker. With the varitey of music and the avilablity to allow anyone can use it. You dont have ot be a memeber. The varity of genres you can listen to is amasing.
