Today was actually not a typical day for me as far as my usual television viewing habits. I watched quite a bit of TV today because my roommates and I decided to just stay in the apartment today and relax. Normally I watch less TV than I did today. However, there are a couple of shows that I try to catch every day. I rarely miss That 70's Show or Family Guy. My roommates and I watch Family Guy every night on Cartoon Network from 10-11pm. We usually also try to make it a point to watch CSI:NY. I did not watch any shows today that I haven't seen before. Nothing new really caught my attention today. I don't think I missed any shows I would have normally watched. I pretty much saw all the shows I had planned on watching today. I also did not record any shows on my own TV, but I did have my boyfriend record a show on his TV that I want to watch this weekend.

I did not watch any TV shows on the internet or from another source other than my actual television. The only other people watching TV with me were my three roommates. We usually watch TV together. Very rarely do I watch TV without at least one of them there with me.

As far as having to write down everything I watched on TV, I found it a little bit annoying to keep having to log every time I began to watch a new show, or something on a different channel. I'm used to just watching TV and not having to think about anything else while I'm doing it. There were several times when I would almost forget to log something that I was watching, but after the first couple of shows I logged, it wasn't hard to remember to do it. I also found that I change the channels very rarely during a show. I even usually sit through all of the commercials. I watched more TV today than I usually do, so I'm not exactly sure how much I would actually watch on a "regular" day. I think that journals like this are pretty reliable for keeping track of what people actually watch on TV. But they are only reliable if people are honest about what they watch, and how long they watch it.
