My day of TV. Josh Sanchez, 11/04/08

3. This day was election day so after class I did pay more attention to the news more than usual. I probably missed some shows that I normally watch but I just usually watch whatever is good on TV. I usually flip channels until I see something that catches my attention. During the day I usually don't have any shows that I watch regularly, like I said before I usually watch whatever looks good. In watching TV I would say that I watch some reality shows like Rock of Love or any other reality show mostly on VH1. And I still have a kid side to myself so I do sometimes like to watch cartoons on Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network!
For TV that I watched this day was of course the election coverage on CNN from 2:00pm till around 2:30pm. I started flipping the channels and saw an old favorite show of mine which was Full House on ABC Family. I began to flip the to other stations and wanted to see what was on VH1 and saw that this show called Trading Spouses was on and decided to watch it. At around 15 till 4:00 I watched Spongebob and left it on Nickelodeon till after the show Drake and Josh. Again I started to watch the election coverage until around 7:30pm and started to watch the Spurs game. After the disappointing loss by the Spurs, I flipped over to CNN to see that Barack Obama had won the presidential nomination.

4. I mainly watched TV during the first half of the day in my room and my friend called me and he came over to hang out, do some homework, and watch TV. For the rest of the half of the day, I went to my friends room and watched the rest of the election coverage and the San Antonio Spurs game. I didn't watch anything that was on DVD nor did I see any type of TV on the Internet. I usually don't watch any type of TV on the Internet or watch DVD's. I'll watch some YouTube clips here and there once in awhile but not too often.

5. This logging of what I watched on TV for a day wasn't accurate, in my opinion. It feels like as if you're binded mentally. You know that you have to watch a show for at least fifteen minutes before you can acutually write it down on the log and that seems that it's forcing you to watch something that you may not even watch. I myself am a channel flipper whenever there are commercials and I'll go back and forth with different shows. For myself, I believe that I watched less TV than I would actually would have because I know that I had to log some TV show down so with that type of mindset I didn't channel flip as much. In my opinion I don't think that this test is very reliable because it doesn't let you be yourself when your watching TV. For me the test didn't let me watch TV as I normally would on a daily basis.
