Megan McDougall logged TV viewing 11/5/08

For the most part the day was pretty typical except for watching TV on Wednesday night. There really isn't anything on usually but I had to find something this time. I usually either turn on VH1 in the mornings to listen to music when im getting ready if I don't feel like messing with my computer yet. I always try to watch the O.C. and usally am able to about three or four days a week. Every show I watched I had seen before. I didn't record any shows. I either knew what I was wanting to watch at a particular time or I looked at the TV guide when I was watching TV at an unusual time for me to be viewing.

I did watch an episode of Greys Anatomy on ABC.com and watched a pre recorded show, Richard Pryor Now and Then at my friends apartment on his DVR. I watched the episode of Greys anatomy alone but the stand up with two friends. My roommate was watching Drumline with me when I was logging for the evening hours.

I didn't really think too much of having to record all the shows a watched on television on one day. It made me realize I didnt watch very much TV. I didn't ever change the channels during my different viewing hours because our remote was stolen awhile back and we have yet to get another one. If people are truely honest and can keep track all the time of what they are watching I feel that these journals are a reliable way of finding out what and when people are watching TV. They do this because they show exactly when people watch what shows and how it was viewed and by who in the household.
