1. On Hulu.com, we picked the most recent episode of Family Guy which had links to the previous episodes below the screen. On the viewing page, you have the option to watch the video in 480p resolution, change the lighting, and watch the episode in full screen mode. The website does allow user comments and also shows commercials during the show. We find that Hulu.com is much more organized than YouTube, and we like that it shows the whole episode, instead of annoying 15 minute clips. The quality of the sound and picture is also much better. Here is the Family Guy episode we watched
2. From YouTube.com we found clips of an episode of The Big Bang Theory from season 2, originally shown on CBS. The episode was split up into 4 clips, so if you wanted to watch it all, you could. At the top of the clips, it says, "Full Episodes @ www.TvThrone.com." There isn't a distinction between the different types of videos on YouTube like TV shows, music videos, and random home-made videos. These clips of The Big Bang Theory were posted by a fan, not the network so it is possible that this is an illegal posting.
3. As we explored both YouTube.com and Hulu.com we found a few advantages and disadvantages in both worth noting. The advantage of Hulu.com is being able to see a variety of complete television shows and movies at any time from NBC, FOX, and a few other companies with less advertising than you'd have to sit through if you were to watch them on TV. The disadvantage of Hulu.com is that it does not appeal to people who are looking for a wide range of random videos that some people are interested in when they log on to YouTube.com. As a YouTube.com member, you are able to upload and share as many videos as you'd like. If you are not an actual member you are still able to watch the random posts by YouTube account members as well as clips from TV shows, movies, and commercials. However, the disadvantage when compared to Hulu.com is that it is very rare to find entire episodes and/or movies without having to find them in pieces like we did with The Big Bang Theory.

I really enjoyed watching a full episode of television from my computer. If you miss an episode on tv you can always catch it on hulu now. I like hulu's presentation of the episodes and how they have choices of how you want the screen to appear. The quality seems to be a lot better on hulu than on youtube to watch. Family Guy is just as funny on the computer as it is on tv. The commercials are so much better than on tv too because the commercial/ad is only i few short seconds, rather than a dragging 5 minutes like it is on the television.
Even though I don't consider myself a fan of Family Guy, I was more willing to watch this show than the others shows posted, so here I am. I like watching Family Guy on Hulu. I can darken the screen around it, I can go full screen, which is so much BETTER. Yeah, I have a 15 inch monitor but it's better than my iPod classic's screen. And it's also a lot clearer on Hulu, than it might be on YouTube, which I like it. I often perfer watching television on the computer because of the small amount of commercials and because of the better quality of the screen (I have an older television, so my screen kind of is lame).
